What photo verification actually means

"The contractor texted me a picture" is not verification. A picture in a text thread proves someone photographed something, somewhere, at some point. Verification means the photo is tied to a specific job, on a specific unit, at a known time, and that someone responsible looked at it and decided the work was done.

That's the standard RQ200 holds every repair to. A photo in RQ200 answers three questions at once: was the work done, was it done right, and can you show it later, whether to a tenant, a new contractor picking up where another left off, or anyone who asks.

Why camera-roll photos in a text thread fail

Most managers already get photos from their contractors. The problem isn't getting them. It's what happens next:

• The photo isn't tied to a job. Three repairs at the same building, one thread. Which picture belongs to which?
• No unit on it. "Bathroom ceiling": whose bathroom?
• The timestamp is the message time, buried in a scroll of unrelated texts.
• When the contractor changes phones, leaves, or deletes the thread, your record goes with them.
• Six months later, finding one photo means scrolling months of chat history. Most people give up.

How RQ200 verifies work

1. Photos attach to the job itself. Before-and-after shots and progress updates all live on the one job they belong to. Not in a thread, not in someone's camera roll.
2. Timestamped and attributed. Every photo and video posts as an update with who posted it, when, and on which unit. The context writes itself.
